Ok, so this is an idea I've been kicking around for a little while now. I liked it so much that I even had to create a logo for it. (Come on now, I'm a graphic designer. Of course I was going to design my own logo!) I know what you're thinking; how did I come up with it, and more importantly, what is "it?"
Geek Fit is a network for geeks, nerds, gamers, otakus, you name it, to get together and support each other on the quest to get, and stay, well, "fit!" I've been compiling a nice list of geeky fitness apps for your mobile device of choice to help keep you on track, as well as working with the pros on tips and ideas. In the coming weeks I'll be posting more detailed reviews on the apps I've chosen, but I wanted to at least give you guys a running start with the links below.
I'm currently working on the development of a mobile app for Geek Fit that will contain logs and entry forms to help you keep track of your progress. I've even designed the icon for it! I would also love to set up a forum or website dedicated to helping us geeks, gamers and nerds connect with awesome fitness-related games and gurus. The mobile app I have envisioned in my brain will (hopefully!) enable everyone in this community to be in touch with each other, so we can all be one big happy, geeky, and FIT family!
